National Food Security Mission (NFSM):

The scheme was started implementation in the State during the year 2012-13. The scheme is 100% Centrally Sponsored Scheme. The operational area of the scheme is all the nine district of the State.

The Crops covered under the scheme are;

i.    Paddy
ii.    Coarse Cereal (Maize) and
iii.    Pulses

The production and productivity of Rice increased drastically in the State with the initiation of Farm Pond under the scheme.
To Honour more production in rice, the Government of India conferred Krishi Karman Award contentiously for 2( two) years i.e. 2011-12 and 2012-13.
